Collagen barrier membranes are used in guided tissue regeneration to support bone healing and periodontal regeneration. Pharmacological inhibitors of prolyl-hydroxylases (PHD) can support hard and soft tissue regeneration and are therefore a promising tool for periodontal therapy.
